How can I keep a client record's FSC, NAICS, and SIC codes from being automatically added to the client's search profile?

When creating a client record, you are asked to include the PSC, SIC and NAICS codes that best represent that client’s products and/or services. Since this information is typically helpful within search profiles, WebCATS, by default, automatically carries these codes into the client’s search profile upon creation of the profile.

If this behavior is not desired, a WebCATS database administor can modify WinCATS’ Preferences page (File|Preferences) to turn this default off. Located on the BidMatch tab, simply deselect the Use Product codes in Client Search Profiles? option, as shown next.

When this option is deselected, counselors will need to remember to add codes to new search profiles, when desired. An alternative to turning this default off is to instruct users to simply delete the unwanted codes from the profile creation screen before submitting the new profile.
